“The brighter the light, the darker the shadow”

Why Do People Commit Crime?
Why do some people cross the moral, mortal, and psychological Rubicon – while others never could? Are some people just born killers with innate psychopathologies, or are they shaped by fractured environments and social chaos? When we are taught not to harm, why do some people break that most fundamental human rule?

Inside the Criminal Mind
The absence of a weapon does not mean a crime has not been committed. Sometimes, we solve cases not by what is present, but by what is missing. Criminal profiling allows us to see from a distance – often the best vantage point for clarity. Even without the perpetrator before us, we can step inside their mind. In careful reasoning, their involvement is revealed as inevitable.
The Fusion of Science and Psychology
Forensic Psychology combines two worlds: Forensics – from forum, meaning the court of truth, and Psychology — the study of the mind. Criminology focuses on the crime itself. Crime Scene Analysis examines physical evidence through science and technology. But even with the most advanced tools, through only a scientific lens we can overlook what hides in plain sight — the mind behind the act. Through a top-down psychological perspective — drawing on psychoanalysis, behavioural science, and depth psychology – we uncover motives, patterns, and unconscious drives that reveal not only what happened, and how it unfolded, but why.
An Extraordinary Learning Experience
This course is entirely unique in its integration of multiple disciplines – combining Depth Psychology, Forensic Profiling, Criminology, Psychoanalysis, Psychiatry, and Neuroscience.
